I have always loved telling stories and have always been the girl with a camera in my hand at any type of event. During my undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg I discovered my love of telling other people's stories through photographs.
Since my introduction to photojournalism I have taken great strides to produce documentary photographic essays and become the staff photograoher for The Crow's Nest, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg student publication. I have gained much experienceas a photojournalist through course work, documentary projects, working for The Crow's Nest and as a volunteer photographer for community events such as the Heart Gallery. I have acquired these photographic skills and now pursue the next step in my photojournalistic journey, that will present great challenges and push my to the next level.
I am a photojournalist. I work diligently to produce the best work possible and to continuously broaden my understanding of photojournalism. My mission is to observe and understand the diversities of society and to convey their message to the public through a lens. Photojournalism is my passion and the camera enables me to tell society's story to the world.
